Peg Loom Weaving Workshop (Woven in Kirklees Festival)
Peg Loom Weaving Workshop (Woven in Kirklees Festival)
We’re proud to be part of WOVEN 2025, celebrating textile heritage and innovation in Kirklees.
Have you ever thought about learning how to weave on a peg loom...? Maybe you have sheep and have thought, "what can I make with my sheep's fleece?" Well, come join us for a hands-on workshop and learn this historic craft!
You'll learn how to set up a loom, how to weave with sheep's fleece, and then how to finish off your piece. By the end of the workshop you will have made a small woolly seat pad or pet mat that you'll get to take home with you.
Join us for a 2 hour workshop where all materials and equipment will be provided. The workshops are run from the barn on our farm at Hollin House Croft, New Mill HD9 7HH. You will also have the chance to see some of our beautiful rare breed Whitefaced Woodland sheep and hear about what we do with their wool.
Select which date you would like to attend from the options below. Morning sessions are run from 10:00am and afternoon sessions are run from 14:00. There are 4 places available per session.
If you've got the bug by the end of the session then details will be provided as to how you can purchase your very own peg loom, handmade down the road in Honley!
By purchasing this item you are booking yourself on to the above workshop and agree to the terms of our cancellation policy, which you can find here.
After completing your purchase, you will receive a follow up email within 24 hrs containing the full workshop details.
